vanilla pods used to flavor custards, creams, rice pudding ... letting them cook for a few minutes in milk, can be used several times if washed thoroughly after each use, dried and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If they are unused and completely dry can be placed inside a cooking pot sugar, and after a few days we'll have homemade vanilla sugar.
Some preparations is more convenient to use the vanilla sugar trade instead of pods, but provides less aroma and flavor.
